OnePlus phones are quite expensive this year and the cost of OnePlus 8 Pro is a whopping $900. Luckily, a new mid-ranger phone from OnePlus is coming soon. The OnePlus Z is expected to be released in the summer of 2020, mostly in July.
OnePlus Z to arrive in July 2020
Max J recently teased on Twitter that a July 2020 release can be expected for the OnePlus Z. It was surprising for many people because they haven’t heard anything about this mid-range during the announcement of the OnePlus 8 series earlier this month — OnePlus Z was previously rumored to be called the “OnePlus 8 Lite,” after all.
What will this device have in store for us? Previous leaks show that it is something less considerable and less impressive than the typical OnePlus 8 series. The OnePlus Z might have the MediaTek processor instead of the “never settle” specs. This means it will also lower the RAM and storage allotments too, but they haven’t confirmed it yet. It is speculated that the device will offer a smaller 6.5-inch display with a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.
The OnePlus Z will offer a boxier shape compared to the 8 and 8 Pro’s curves; this means that its design will be different from the rest of the series. The pricing details aren’t known yet but we might find out about it soon enough.
