According to a new report, Apple Inc. is expected to unveil its latest line of iPhones and smartwatches on Sept. 7.
Last quarter, Apple reported $40.67 billion in revenue from iPhone sales, up from $39.57 billion a year prior and roughly half of the company’s total revenue.
The iPhone 14 will reportedly feature a better camera but otherwise fairly minor technological upgrades and will add a variant with a 6.7-inch screen.
The base iPhone 14 and 14 max will also continue to use the Apple A15 Bionic chip and look externally similar to the iPhone 13.
The Pro phones will also reportedly get a faster chip and an even-larger three-lens camera assembly anchored by a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera plus 12-megapixel ultra-wide and telephoto cameras.
The iPhone 14 Pro will reportedly be more exciting, replacing the current camera notch with a pair of pinhole cutouts for the front-facing camera and FaceID scanner.
A September 7 announcement for the new iPhones and watches probably means at least some new devices will be available to buy toward the middle of the month.
