Last month's release of tvOS 16 wasn't very exciting, but now Apple TV users can get tvOS 16.1, which has a few new features.
Over-the-Air downloads can be done through the Settings app on the Apple TV. Settings > System > Software Update is where you can go to get the update.
When you press Siri on the Siri Remote, the virtual assistant icon appears in the bottom right corner of the screen. Now, voice commands activate the icon.
The redesigned UI is more compact. Siri is now a floating window instead of a bottom bar.
You'll notice new animations while browsing through Siri's selections, and some interfaces seem entirely different.
When AirPods are connected to Apple TV, users can use the "Hey Siri" command to interact without using their hands.
The Apple tvOS 16.1 update adds a Shared Photo Library to the home screen so users may view family photos.
