ASUS Prime series motherboards are carefully made so that 13th Gen Intel® CoreTM Processors can reach their full potential.
The shape of the motherboard is ATX. This is not ASUS's most expensive or complicated solution, but it's also not a good deal at around $300.
The new motherboard is made for Alder Lake (12th Gen Core) and Raptor Lake (13th Gen Core) processors, which use the LGA1700 socket.
The PRIME Z790-A WiFi is a DDR5 platform, just like the AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors we have seen.
ASUS has an Aura Sync header and ATX power connector. Below are USB 3.2 Gen1 and Gen2 front-panel connectors.
Those upgrading from older CPU generations will need two 8-pin CPU power inputs for this new platform.
Additionally, headers for an AIO pump, a second CPU fan, and other fans are located at the top of the motherboard.
