The Apple Watch 8, unveiled on September 7 at the Apple Event, adds additional connectivity, safety, and health capabilities.
The watch now comes with improved gyroscopes and accelerometers. In the situation of a crash, the Apple Watch will automatically call the emergency services and your emergency contacts.
The dimensions and weightage of Apple Watch 8 are 45 x 38 x 10.7 mm (1.77× 1.50 x 0.42 inch) and 32 g (41 mm), 38.8 g (45 mm), respectively. Also, it has five color options starlight, midnight, blue, green, and red.
The display type of the Apple Watch Series 8 is Retina LTPO OLED with a size of 1.9 inches. Moreover, the screen resolution is 484 x 396 Pixels (~ 329 Pixels per inch).
Series 8 come with Apple S8 Chipset, watchOS 9.0 Operating System and Dual Core GPU Speed. Additionally, it has 1 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
It has 309 Milliampere (1.19 Wh), lithium-ion, non-removable battery with wireless charging lasting up to 18 hours.
It has various sensors like Accelerometer, gyro, heart rate (3rd generation), barometer, perpetual altimeter, compass, SpO2, and VO2max. Additional features are Siri Voice Assistant and Ultra Wideband (UWB) support.
The starting price of the Apple Watch 8 is $399 (AU$629), maintaining a standard price. The 41mm GPS-only model will cost that amount. The price of the 41mm Cellular model is $499.
