Since its release in October 2021, Windows 11 has undergone minor updates, but with its first significant update comes many enhancements to numerous parts of the user experience.

The Windows 11 2022 Update, also known as Windows 11 version 22H2, has a ton of improvements. (The "22" refers to 2022, while "H2" indicates that it will be released in the second half of that year.)

A new 'Home' page

With the release of the Windows 11 2022 Update, File Explorer's default page has changed. The page itself has undergone several changes and has been renamed Home from Quick Access.

Updated Context Menu Features

File Explorer's context menu now contains an Install option and a Map Network Drive option. You can also detach a network disk more efficiently by using the right-click menu.

OneDrive storage

When you open your OneDrive folder, the toolbar will have a OneDrive icon. When you click it, you can see how much of your cloud storage you've used and how much is left.

Built-in video editing

Clipchamp, a free, basic video editor, comes with 22H2. It's a simple video editor featuring themes for slideshows, advertisements, and social media posts.
