All the major telecom operators in India announced their new prepaid plans. From a couple of years, Indian telecom networks are fluctuating so much. After the arrival of Jio, Airtel and other giant networks had to revise their existing network plans to overcome the Jio territory. Now again, these telecom networks revised their prepaid plans.

This is the second massive modification of prepaid plans after the arrival of Jio in the market. Reasons are not clear from any operators but one of the reasons might be the IUC. IUC stands for Interconnect Usages Charge, this is a small amount of sum charged by the receiving operator when call received from a different operator.

New Prepaid Plans

Bharti Airtel

new prepaid plans

Bharti Airtel has done a great modification in its current prepaid plans. They removed some of the plans as well. You will see a great change in their new prepaid plans. They used to have 6 different 28 days plans with unlimited* calls but in their new revised plans, they reduced it to 3 and their prices are almost double now.

In a similar manner, they removed the famous 558 plan which used to provide Unlimited* calls, 3 GB per day and 100 SMS per day for 82 days. Now there are 2 plans with 84 days validity of 598 INR and 698 INR and their benefits are Unlimited* calls, 100 SMS per day, and 1.5 GB/D & 2 GB/D respectively.

And the yearly plans’ benefits are unchanged but their prices are more aggressive now.

The revised plans of Airtel will be applicable from 3rd December 2019.
