AirPods 4: New Design and Upgraded Features
The new fourth-generation AirPods are fitted much differently than their predecessors. One of the ways Apple has redesigned AirPods is with a better fit, housing what it says is upgraded sound quality because of the H2 chip. The highest standout feature is likely Personalized Spatial Audio, which promises more immersive sound.
These new AirPods 4 boast an upgraded charging case, now smaller than ever, and even include a USB-C port for convenience.
An Apple executive had announced the launch of the standard model, aside from the Professional version of the AirPods 4, which fits in Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, and even Conversation Awareness.
The price tag on this one is $179, which is against the $129 standard model. Both models are available on preorder and go on sale September 20.
Apple Watch Series 10: larger, brighter, and wiser
Apple Watch Series 10: The largest and thinnest display ever, this new wide-angle OLED screen is even bigger than what’s on the Apple Watch Ultra.
The redesign features rounded corners and a wider aspect ratio for improving interaction with graphics and text.
According to Apple, it is 40% brighter when viewed from an angle, and it now includes an always-visible feature showing a ticking second hand, even when your wrist is down.
Under the hood, the Series 10 gets powered with a new chip, S10 SiP according to Apple; this will give it faster performance, better power efficiency, and intelligence.
It also offers new features such as the Photos watch face, which automatically selects your favorite photos for the watch face.
Other new entries fitness tracking aficionados will appreciate are sleep apnea detection-pending FDA clearance-and scuba tracking.
Then there is the new app called Tides in watchOS 11, which further improves audio by allowing sound to be played right off the watch’s speaker.
The Apple Watch Series 10 is offered in new jet-black aluminum and polished finishes, is available to preorder now, and will be available in-store September 20.
AirPods Max, AirPods Pro: Updates, New Features
AirPods Max got a minor refresh with new color options and USB-C charging. AirPods Pro received an upgrade in a much bigger way.
Joining the standard are new hearing health features: by default, “Hearing Protection,” and a clinically validated hearing test to assess possible hearing loss.
The AirPods Pro also houses a clinical-grade hearing aid feature that can be personalized with a hearing profile made from the test results.
Wrapping It All
During its event labeled “It’s Glowtime,” much was to be said from Apple in updates on a few of the hottest items: serious audio quality, smart and intelligent smartwatches, and hearing health.
