The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Launched
The audio section by Xiaomi also received a very good response from users in India. People liked the Mi Band and the wireless speakers and keeping that in mind, Xiaomi also launched the wireless earbuds called the Mi True Wireless Earphone 2.
The true wireless earbuds by Xiaomi are definitely inspired by Apple’s Airpods, have that semi in-ear design with touch controls like the Airpods.
Some of the key highlights of the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 are: it has 2 14.2mm drivers with each earbud weighing about just 4.5 grams and the case weighs about 50 grams. It has an infrared sensor that detects when you put the earbuds in your ears.
It connects over Bluetooth 5.1 and has LDHC Hi-Res audio Codec support. Another good feature it the ENC(Environmental Noise Cancellation). So each bud has two mics to cancel the background noise for clear audio.
Xiaomi says that the buds have 4 hours of battery life on continuous playback on a single charge and with the case the battery life goes up to 14 hours. The charging case has a 250mAh battery that takes up to 1 hour and 10 minutes to completely charge.
The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 will be available for Rs 4,499 in India but as an introductory offer, the earbuds will be priced at Rs 3,999 from May 12 to May 17. The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 will go live on sale on May 12 on Amazon and Xiaomi’s official website.
Mi Box 4K Launched
Xiaomi also launched the Mi box 4K streaming device in the online launch event. The box is Android TV 9 Pie-powered and plugs into your TV through a regular HDMI port and has Wi-Fi available for connectivity.
So the good features about this device are: It is connected to a TV through HDMI Port and your normal TV is then eventually a smart TV. It has a quad-core Amlogic processor with 2GB RAM and 8GB Storage. The device can play 4K and HDR content from streaming services. Xiaomi has also partnered with Docubay, Epic, HoiChoi, and Shemaroo for exciting offers with Mi Box 4K.
The Mi Box 4K has a stock Android TV interface. There is also USB Port for connectivity and yes, a 3.5mm digital out socket and Bluetooth to connect wireless headphones. The USB Port also allows the Mi Box 4K to be used as a local media player.
The Mi Box 4K is a direct competition for the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K and other devices too. However, Mi Box 4K is more affordable than any of these, it is priced at Rs 3,499 and will go live for sale on May 10 at 12PM on Flipkart, Xiaomi’s official website.
