Silver-Winging It is the second quest in the Temple of the Gales line, once “Look to the Sky” has been completed.
Led by Zeki, this quest involves fixing Flow Gates to enable access to new areas, finding the hidden puzzles, and exploring floating islands to uncover the mysteries of the Silverwings.
How to Complete the Palia Silver-Winging It Quest
Here are some steps that you need to follow to finish the Palia Silver-Winging It Quest:
Step 1: Entering the Temple of the Gales
Start your trip by going to Bahari Bay. From here, start heading south to the Windy Ruins. The Temple of the Winds is situated slightly south of these ruins. When you arrive, the temple entrance will be open for you. Indeed, inside this very issue, you’ll meet Zeki, Caleri, and Elouisa.
- Zeki: Initiates the “Special Donations” quest.
- Caleri or Elouisa: Each offers the “Proof of Magic” quest.
Step 2: Repairing the Flow Gate
Approach Zeki, and he will lead you to a broken Flow Gate. The gate has been tampered with in order to close off the temple. To fix it, you’ll first need to trigger the Flow Gate by interacting with a nearby platform.
Once you’ve activated it, walk through the Flow Gate into a new area that has a big locked door and four strange eggs.
Step 3: Solving the Egg Puzzle

In this room, you will find yourself confronted with a puzzle, four eggs, and a door that is locked. To solve: you have to put each egg over its matching shape. The correct sequence is:
- Red Egg on the leftmost pillar.
- Blue Egg on the middle pillar.
- Green Egg on the rightmost pillar.
This arrangement will unlock the door, allowing you to proceed.
Step 4: Exploring the Floating Islands
The door on the sideline opens a corridor with an air duct. Glide (or fly) with your glider through the air streams up ahead to the Main Island. The Main Island has four float islands:
- Main Island: Collect items for Zeki’s “Special Donations” quest and Silverwing Studies for Caleri and Elouisa.
- Temple Island: Currently inaccessible.
- Fish Island: Gather aquatic resources.
- Bug Island: Collect insect specimens.
Every island has its own set of resources and obstacles. It is possible to use the gusts of wind beneath them to help you get between them efficiently.
Step 5: Collecting Silverwing Eggs
On the Main Island, you’ll find a large nest and a Warm Silverwing Egg. Place it on the platform close by to open another Flow Gate. This will open the way for Zeki, Caleri, Elouisa, and you to go through the gate to the Main Island.
Step 6: Interacting with Zeki, Caleri, and Elouisa
Upon reaching the Main Island, speak with Zeki, who appears distressed after being teleported near a cliff. Show him the nest, and then speak to Caleri and Elouisa to find out more about the Silverwings.
This meeting will offer clues as to what the fuck is going on with the Silverwing Nest puzzle, facilitating our next quest, “It Takes a Village.”
Step 7: Completing the Quest
To complete the Silver-Winging It quest:
- Return to Zeki and inform him of your findings.
- Complete the “Special Donations” quest by delivering the collected items.
- Finish the “Proof of Magic” quest by submitting the Silverwing Studies.
Complete these two tasks to finish the Silver-Winging It quest and access the next main story, It Takes a Village.
What Players Have Noticed?
During the Silver-Winging It quest, players will notice that wind gusts play a crucial role in traversal. These gusts serve as nature-made shortcuts that can help travelers float from island to floating island without expending any stamina.
Another interesting observation is that too much digging works out. Each island hides its own caches of valuable resources and subtle hints that tie into the broader questline, so speedrunning might cause some to overlook critical details.
NPC dynamics are also an important part of the game. Zeki, Caleri, and Elouisa are not mere background figures—they provide constant, rather illuminating advice. Keeping them on the phone allows the story to flow a bit more naturally (less opportunity for confusion when it comes time to solve puzzles).
Finally, it’s important to remember that patience wins the day much of the time. These puzzles aren’t meant to be annoying, however, and are for those who take their time to look at the environment and try things out.
Conclusion
The Silver-Winging It quest in Palia serves as a multi-step adventure that is part exploration, puzzle-solving, and storytelling.
With it and our advice, you should be able to make your way through the adverse conditions of the Temple of the Gales and solve the secrets of the Silverwings’ rash.
