There’s no denying that Google is working on a Foldable Phone, and it has been in small numbers of leaks over the past few months. Also, which was once believed to be canceled.
Apparently, it’s not, as the Google Pixel Foldable design has been leaked, the biggest leak since the rumors of Google making around a Foldable phone started.
Well, the leak comes from Jon Prossor (FrontPageTech), which reveals the Google Pixel Fold in full glory! Let’s take a look at the Design of the Pixel Fold.
Google Pixel Fold Design
The Google Pixel Fold has an inward folding design, and the outer display is big and looks considerably wider than the narrower cover display of the Galaxy Fold Fold 4.
There’s a centrally placed punch-hole camera with uniform bezels all around. The frame of the phone is Glass and Metal, and the phone is quite heavy, said Prosser.
As for the back, the rear of the Pixel Fold resembles the design language of the Google Pixel 7 series with the camera Visor which houses the triple rear cameras, although, unlike the Pixel 7 series, the camera visor does not fully extend to the side of the frame.
Now opening the Pixel Fold reveal the massive tablet-like display, and the design looks similar to the Oppo Find N, although the top and bottom bezels on the inner display of the Pixel Fold are pretty thick compared to Oppo Find N. The front camera is carefully hidden on the top bezel of the inner display of the Pixel Fold.
The power button is on the right, and the fingerprint sensor is embedded into it; the speaker grille is on the top and bottom, and just like the power button, volume rockers are also on the right as well. Type-C port at the bottom. The Foldable will come in two colors – Chalk and Obsidian.
Pixel Fold Specifications
Not much is known about the specifications of the Pixel Fold at the moment. Although, as per Ross Young, the outer display of the foldable phone is 5.78 inches and the inner display is 7.57 inches, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the Pixel Fold will be powered by a Google Tensor chip.
Also, Jon Processor did mention that the front camera on the outer and inner displays of the Fold is 9.5MP. The specs of the rear cameras are not known yet, but since this is a premium device from Google, presumably, it will have the same setup as the Pixel 7 lineup 50MP main camera, 12MP Ultra wide & a 48MP Telephoto lens.
Google Pixel Fold Launch date & Pricing
According to Jon Prosser, Google Pixel Fold will launch next year, most likely at the annual Google I/O conference (May 2023) alongside the Pixel Tablet.
As for the Price, Jon mentions that it will be priced at $1799.
