As we know, Google hosted its annual Developer conference & announced a variety of products in, both software & hardware products. In the previous article. We talked about the Google Pixel 7a, and in this article, we’ll take a look at the Google Pixel Folfd.
Google Pixel Fold is the first-ever Foldable smartphone from Google, and this marks the company’s entry into the foldable scenario. Let’s take a closer look at the Design & Specifications of the Google Pixel Fold
Google Pixel Fold Design
The Google Pixel Fold design is somewhat in between that of the Oppo Find N & Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4; the Pixel Fold features a big outer display, which is slightly taller and wider than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
There are bezels all around the display, with a bit of a chin at the bottom. Also, there’s a centered punch-hole front camera. The Pixel Fold has a glass build, and the frame of the folding phone is made out of aluminum.

As for the inner display, there are bezels all around the display, although the top & bottom bezels are thicker than the side bezels.
The top bezel also houses the inner display’s front camera. The power button & volume rockers are on the right, and the fingerprint sensor is embedded in the power button as well.
The rear camera of the Pixel Fold resembles the Pixel 7 series, although the camera bar does not extend fully to the sides. The camera bar houses triple rear cameras; the LED Flash is on the left & Mic just below it.
Google Pixel Fold Specifications
Google Pixel Fold features a 7.6-inch OLED foldable display with an 1120Hz refresh rate & 1840 x 2208 resolution.
The inner display has a 6.5 aspect ratio, 1,000 nits brightness, and 1450 nits peak brightness. The display is a layer of Ultra-thin Glass that is protected by a plastic layer on top.
For the cover display, there’s a 5.8-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate & FullHD+ resolution (1080 x 2092). It has an aspect ratio of 17.4:9 with a 1,200 nits brightness & 1,550 nits peak brightness. The cover display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The hinge features fluid friction that the company says has a 180-degree range of motion to support different postures securely.
Under the hood, the Pixel Fold is powered by Google’s own Tensor G2, and there’s 12GB LPDDR5 RAM & 256/512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Runs on Android 13. The folding handset comes in two color options – Porcelain and Obsidian.
As for the optics – There’s a triple rear camera setup at the back, which includes a 48MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a secondary 10.8MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture & 121.1-degree field of view, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens with f/3.05 aperture, which supports Super Res Zoom upto 20x.
As for the outer screen, there’s a 9.5MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture; for the inner display, there’s an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Other features of the camera include Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser & more.
The Google Pixel Fold has a 4,821mAh battery with 30W wired fast charging and features an IPX8 rating. The device measures 139.7 x 79.5 x 12.1 mm when folded and 139.7 x 158.7 x 5.8 mm when unfolded.

The Pixel Fold comes in one RAM & two storage variants

- 12GB/512GB: $1,919
The Pixel Fold is already up for Pre-orders in the U.S. and will be available sometime next month. Users who pre-order the Pixel Fold will receive a free Pixel Watch
Also, Pixel Fold will be sold via Google Store in Germany, Japan, and the UK. There’s no word on the India launch.
