After many rumors & leaks, Motorola has finally launched the much-anticipated Motorola Razr 40 foldable series in China. Since a series, it has two foldable smartphones under it, i.e., Motorola Razr 40 & Razr 40 Ultra.

Motorola Razr 40 & Razr 40 Ultra Design
Well, thanks to leaks, we already know the design of the Motorola Razr 40 series. Although the design language of the devices is identical, there are some differences. It has a premium clamshell design and a dual rear camera setup with LED Flash on the outer display.
The foldable flip flagship has a bigger outer display, while the regular Razr 40 features a much smaller outer display. Also, the cover display of the Razr 40 ultra is the largest in a clamshell foldable to date.
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra features a bigger inner display with a centered punch-hole camera and curved side edges. There are thick bezels all around the display.
The frame of both the handsets is made of aluminum. The device also features stereo speakers, and the fingerprint sensor is embedded in the power button itself
As for the back, there’s a dual rear camera setup in a ring shape, and there’s the Motorola logo on the back. As for the hinge, it is made in such a way that makes the display creaseless for a seamless experience.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Specifications
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has two displays, of which the cover display is a 3.6-inch AMOLED display with a 1066 x 1056 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It is a 10-bit panel & features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection.
As for the inner display, it is a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, FullHD+ resolution, and supports HDR10+. The Ultra Thin Glass panel has five-layer protection with no gap in between when it is closed, thanks to the teardrop hinge.
The Flagship foldable is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with 8/12GB RAM & 256/512GB storage and runs on MyUX based on Android 13.
The flagship device comes in three color options – infinite Black, Glacier Blue, and Viva Magenta. Well, the Viva Magenta features a leather back, while the other two colors have Gorilla Glass Victus.
As for the cameras, There’s a dual rear camera setup at the back with a 12MP main sensor & f/1.5 aperture, and OIS. A secondary 13MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra features a 3,800mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging. The flagship is IP52 rated and weighs 188 grams.
Motorola Razr 40 Specifications
The Motorola Razr 40 features two displays as well, of which the outer display is a 1.5-inch display with a 194 x 368 resolution, and as for the inner display, it also features a 6.9-inch LPTO AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and FullHD+ resolution and supports HDR 10+.
Under the hood, the regular Razr 40 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with 8/12GB RAM & 256/512GB internal storage; it runs on MyUX based on Android 13. The handset also comes in three color options- Sage Green, Vanilla Cream, and Summer Lilac.
For the optics, there’s a dual rear camera setup at the back, which includes a 64MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and supports OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture. As for the front, there’s a 32MP front camera for selfies.
Motorola Razr 40 features a 4,200mAh battery with 30W fast charging and 5W wireless charging. Other features of the device include Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and more.

As for the regular Razr 40, it also comes in two RAM & Storage variants
- 8GB/128GB: ¥3,999 / $562
- 12GB/256GB: 4,699 / $660
Both devices are already up to order in China. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will be available starting June 5, while Razr 40 will be available starting June 25.
