Highlights
- Aang finally joins the MTG universe with creative bending-based mechanics.
- Two powerful Aang cards reflect different stages of his journey and powers.
- Full MTG Avatar Last Airbender set officially launches this November 2025.

With one of its most exciting crossovers to date, the MTG x Avatar: The Last Airbender set, Magic: The Gathering is making a daring move.
I’ve been an Avatar and MTG fan for a long time, so I was excited to see this partnership finally take shape.
The focus is undoubtedly on Avatar Aang, and I promise you that Wizards of the Coast has done a fantastic job of portraying his character through gameplay.
MTG Avatar Last Airbender Set: Aang’s Epic Entry Redefines Gameplay
Aang Enters the Multiverse of MTG
We now get to see Aang as a card for the first time, in two distinct formats. Players who use all four bending styles—air, fire, earth, and water—are rewarded by the first, simply named Avatar Aang, a Legendary Creature.
Each bending type is represented by a card that draws you a card; after you’ve used all four in a single turn, Aang transforms, symbolizing his entry into the Avatar State.
Aang, Master of Elements, the second version, explores his more profound spiritual side. You can change Aang at the beginning of every upkeep by using this Legendary Creature card.
If you decide to do so, you deal four damage to each of your opponents, add four +1/+1 counters, draw four cards, and gain four life. It’s a game-changer on the battlefield and a perfect illustration of his harmony between power and peace.
Complete Set Information & Anticipation
There won’t be much more waiting for you. On August 12, 2025, a comprehensive preview of the complete MTG Avatar Last Airbender set will be made available, and on November 21, 2025, the official launch will take place.
This set promises to be a visual and gameplay treat for both novice and seasoned MTG players, based on the gorgeous hand-drawn artwork and bending mechanics.
This crossover builds on previous successful sets, such as MTG x Final Fantasy, which brought in iconic characters like Cloud and Sephiroth and skyrocketed collector demand.
This Avatar collaboration is obviously being handled with the same level of care and imagination by Wizards of the Coast.
Not only is it exciting to bring Aang and the world of bending into MTG, but it also marks a significant advancement in the way strategy and narrative can coexist in a card game.
The MTG Avatar Last Airbender set offers something genuinely unique, regardless of whether you’re a devoted MTG player, a longtime Avatar fan, or someone who is new to both worlds. When the complete set is released in November, I am eager to delve deeper into it.
