Oppo launched the Reno3 Pro just four months ago in India and it has now launched the Oppo Reno4 Pro in India too. It is the successor to the Reno3 Pro and was launched in China in May earlier this year. Here is all you need to know about the new device.
Oppo Reno4 Pro Specifications
If you look at the smartphone, the design is nothing new but the company has made some major and important changes in the internals for the global variant. The design is very similar to the Chinese version and the big changes are the new color options and the long camera module at the back.
The Oppo Reno4 Pro has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400X1080 pixels. It has a 90Hz refresh rate, 90.01-percent screen-to-body ratio, HDR10+ certification. There is a tiny punch-hole cutout at the top-left that has a 32-megapixel selfie camera, you also get the in-display fingerprint reader.
The global variant of Reno4 has Snapdragon 720G which is disappointing as the Chinese version has 765G with 5G support. The processor is paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and has 128GB internal storage. It runs on Android 10-based ColorOS 7.2. It also has a 3D multi-cooling system that has the graphics tube, graphite sheet, and a copper foil that shall maintain normal temperatures in heavy usage.
The smartphone has a 4,000mAh battery that comes with the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging support which can charge the phone from 0 to 100-percent in about 36 minutes. That is insane!
As per the cameras, it has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48-megapixel main sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 2-megapixel depth, and 2-megapixel macro lens. This is a very underwhelming camera setup compared to the Chinese variant of the phone as it misses a telephoto lens.
Price and Availability
Well here is all the disappointing news, it is priced at INR 34,990 in India for the 8GB+128GB variant. You have two colors namely, Starry Night and Silky White. The disappointing news is that you can easily get phones with 5G support and Snapdragon 865 chipset at this price range. So this price is very bad especially in a very sensitive market like India. If you still want to buy this phone, the phone will go sale exclusively on Flipkart from August 5.
