Oneplus is a brand that gives the best high-end features and performance at a very affordable price. Since it gained popularity in the top end smartphone market, Oneplus also started to raise the price for its smartphones.


The top model of the new Oneplus 8 Pro is for $1000 in the US. In fact the Oneplus 8 series starts from $700.

While this is not something wrong but things actually change when it comes to the Indian smartphone market. Pricing for any of the smartphones is very essential in the Indian smartphone market. India has the biggest Oneplus userbase so the pricing of the new smartphones is really good here. Here is the pricing for Oneplus 8 and Oneplus 8 Pro.

Pricing for Oneplus 8 and Oneplus 8 Pro in India

The Indian smartphone market very prices sensitive and to be honest there is no lack of good smartphones so pricing plays a very important factor. Keeping that in mind, Oneplus India revealed pricing details for the Oneplus 8 series.

 The price for Oneplus 8(6GB RAM), exclusive to, is Rs 42,000 and for the 8GB and 12GB version of the Oneplus 8, the price is Rs 45,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. The 6GB RAM version offers a very good entry point for the series and the 8GB and 12GB versions are still very low in price in comparison to the US.

And, much like the Oneplus 8, the 8 Pro is also priced very good. The 8GB RAM version of the Oneplus 8 Pro is Rs 55,000 and the most high-end version with 12GB RAM and 256GB of Storage is for Rs 60,000 which is around $780, very cheap compared to $1000 for the same in the US.

Launch Speculations

So, these are the pricing for Oneplus 8 and Oneplus 8 Pro. The thing is that Oneplus phones are locally assembled in India. So, the company saves some money on the import taxes and offers cheaper prices in India compared to the US.

The launch is scheduled at some later time in May but it is unclear as the whole country is under a lockdown and productions are halted until May 3.
