Redmi K20 Series Launched in India Starting at ₹21,999 for Base Variant

Since the day one after the announcement of Redmi K20 series, users in India were eagerly waiting for the official launch in India. And today Xiaomi finally launched the k20 series in an event in New Delhi.

Redmi K20 series complies am immersive flagship-grade specifications, except the SoC. In K20 Pro, it sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC whereas, K20 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC. This is an entirely new series of Redmi phones, and perhaps an attempt by Xiaomi to break the Redmi brand’s image as one of the budget phones.

On the front, it has a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, a 20MP pop-up front-facing camera with a sapphire glass cover, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

On the rear side, the device has a triple-camera setup placed at the upper center of the phone equipped with a main 48MP camera with 1/2″ Sony flagship sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP telephoto lens.

Under the hood Redmi K20 Pro sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB onboard storage. It comes with a 4,000mAh battery with 18-watt fast charging support and relies on a USB-C port for charging.

It will be available in Carbon Black, Flame Red, Glacier Blue variants and the pricing starts at ₹27,999 for the 6GB/128GB model and goes up to ₹30,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant.
