Fans of the Call of Duty series may wish to remain involved in the franchise, given the current rumors surrounding its upcoming major release, which is purportedly Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
Reddit user Bigbyy posted a leak that is generating discussion among users. It appears that a 2035 futuristic sequel might be in the works if the rumors are to be believed.
Call of Duty Black Ops 7: Sequel Rumors, Gameplay Leaks, and What We Might See in 2025
Compared to the usual yearly revision, this update is more important. According to the purported leak, Black Ops 7 might directly follow Black Ops 2’s course.
It is expected that veteran actors like James Woods and Alex Mason will return, which will probably make die-hard fans feel very nostalgic.
This game might offer a cooperative campaign mode for four players, similar to that in Black Ops 3, but set in the expansive open-world setting of “Avalon.”
The mechanics of movement seem to be operating at full speed. According to the leak, Black Ops 6’s “omnimovement” system will be brought back and will now incorporate wall running for improved gameplay fluidity.
If this assertion turns out to be true, one can anticipate rapid and responsive controls that revive the dynamic feel of the previous games but with a contemporary and cutting-edge approach.
There is a noticeable increase in interest in the zombies mode. A huge new map that might be the largest round-based arena to date is rumored to accompany the return of round-based gameplay.
That is possibly the most astounding feature. Multiverse versions of popular characters, a longer backstory, and a recreation of the acclaimed TranZit map from Black Ops 2 are all possible features of the mode.
There have also been discussions about a “wonder vehicle” concept and a difficulty toggle that could add new mode combinations.
Certainly, multiplayer is not being disregarded. Along with several new futuristic maps, one of which is inspired by traditional Japanese design elements, and remastered classic titles, a large-scale 32v32 mode is reportedly in the works.
According to reports, players may be able to move their progress from Black Ops 6 multiplayer, and essential features like kill streaks, perks, and progression are being restored.
As of right now, Activision has not made any official statements, and all information is subject to confirmation.
Although this information does not prove anything, it is possible that the leaker was part of a study group for the next game. As a result, take this information as speculative for the time being.
There is still good reason to be on the lookout for this. During the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8th, Activision may release an official teaser or trailer.
Warzone and Black Ops 6’s continued popularity raises the possibility that a full reveal will be postponed this summer.
That’s the situation right now. If what is being said is true, Black Ops 7 could end up being one of the most ambitious games in the series. I’ll be closely monitoring it, and I’ll post an analysis here as soon as official information is available.
