Although Facebook announced the availability of Facebook Dark Mode in their F8 event, but after a lot of testing and experimenting, the dark mode is finally rolling out. The phase of the rollout is scheduled for desktop users, after the successful implementation in the desktop version, Facebook will start rolling the update to mobile app users.
Facebook Dark Mode
The social media company told TechCrunch that “starting today, the majority of people on Facebook will have access to the new desktop design.” On laptops or desktops, it is the first thing Facebook is asking when one switches to the newer version of the social media site.
Apart from incorporating dark mode, Facebook has added tabs that are similar to its mobile version and has also reworked the shortcuts bar. When you receive the update, you should see a button at the top of the page asking if you want to ‘try the new Facebook’ (it’s expected to take a few days to roll out globally, so don’t worry if you can’t see it just yet). Accept, then head to the settings menu at the top right to find the switch for toggling dark mode.
The brand new Fb has the House, Watch and Market Place tabs on the prime, whereas the choice to toggle Darkish Mode is within the dropdown menu on the prime left of the display.
The choices on the prime had been earlier seen above the shortcuts. The brand new look even has a devoted tab for Fb Gaming as properly. The Tales part has been moved under Gaming, whereas the Create Publish field has been moved additional down.
