Hike Launches HikeLand, the First Mobile Platform for Virtual Hangout

Hike, a Delhi based Unicorn startup launched a first mobile platform for Virtual Hangout called HikeLand. Amid this coronavirus pandemic, Hike jumped into a virtual social platform, when the company observed a huge success of Houseparty and similar application in the lockdown.


The founder and CEO of Hike, Kavin Bharti Mittal stated that There’s literally been no innovation in social whatsoever. And we’re sort of stuck with these experiences of the last decade that were built for the 2G world and in some cases built for PC first. We are finally in a place where we can change that, build experiences that are rich, that is joyful, that can potentially put relationships at the center,” in a video call with Indian express.

The company claimed that the app is a secure and great place to hang out together and create awesome immemorable experiences. In a tweet, Kavin Bharti Mittal unveils the launch of HikeLand.




According to the company “With the early preview of #HikeLand we’re bringing 2 unique experiences to start with → ???????????????? & ???????????? ????????????????????????“, Home is the very own home of the user in the app, It is a private place for you and your loved ones to hang out, you can design your home with 8 different decor themes of your choice.


Whereas, Big Screen is a more open place where you can stream the content together with people who love to stream similar content. Big Screen is powered by YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hotstar.

While unveiling the early preview of the app company’s CEO said With advancements in technology, so much is possible today that wasn’t even just a few years ago. The world has evolved, it’s time for social products as well. With HikeLand, we’re launching the world’s first mobile-first virtual world. A brand new take on how people can hangout online, transcending beyond the limitations of the offline world.

HikeLand is a place where you can hang out without maintaining the social distancing, you can hang out with your loved ones in this pandemic. Users (android/ iOS) will have to update their Hike to access Hikeland. The latest version of the app is available for Android users, and you can download the latest version of the mobile-first virtual Hangout platform, Hikeland, from here.

Hike accentuates that the product is specifically designed for Indian users. The company claimed that the variation in the UX majorly as Hike has built this for a vertical view and not horizontal. “Leveraging diversity of art skills and resources, HikeLand also brought together a design team of not only UI and UX but also Fashion, Art, and 3D artists”.
