After weeks of teasers, Motorola has finally launched the budget-centric Motorola G84 5G in India. It is the latest addition to its G-series and is a successor to the Motorola G82 5G that was launched last year and is an upgrade over the G73 5G that launched earlier this year.

Motorola G84 5G Design
The Motorola G84 5G shares its design language with the Motorola G73 5G with the same big display up front & centered punch hole that houses the front camera. There are minimal bezels on the sides and a chin at the bottom.
As for the back, it has a bigger square camera island than the G73. The Squared camera island houses dual rear cameras with the LED Flash inside it, and the brand logo is in the middle.
Motorola G84 5G Specifications
The Motorola G84 5G features a 6.55-inch pOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate & a Full HD+ resolution. There’s support for DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR10+, and 1300 nits peak brightness.
As for powering the device, the G84 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695. It is a 6nm octa-core processor with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz and is paired with Adreno 619 GPU.
The company has only launched the G84 5G in a single RAM and Storage variant, i.e., 12GB RAM & 256GB internal storage. Runs on MyUI based on Android 13 and comes in three colorways – Viva Megenta, Marshmallow Blue, and Midnight Black.
Both Viva Megenta and Marshmallow Blue feature a Vegan leather finish, whereas the Midnight Black has an Acrylic 3D glass finish rear panel.
For the Optics, the device features a dual rear camera setup at the back that includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS & an f/1.88 aperture, and an 8MP ultra-wide angle. At the front, there’s a 16MP front camera with an f/2.45 aperture for selfies.
The handset comes with a 5,000mAh battery, a 33W fast wired charging, and an IP54 dust & splash resistance. Other features of the device include an in-display fingerprint scanner and support for Dolby Atmos & Motorola spatial sound.
