MX TakaTak, the Latest TikTok Clone from MX Player

Last week on Monday, the Indian Government banned many Chinese apps including TitTok, CamScanner, UC Browser, and 56 other famous apps that were ruling in the Indian app market with their services. TikTok was one of the hugely popular apps with more than a billion download counts only in Google Play Store. After the ban, many Indian small startups rose into existence and made a good market like Chingari, Funimate, Roposo, Dubsmash, and more. Following the trend, MX Player also took a step and yesterday launched its “own” TikTok Clone, the MX TakaTak.

MX Player is a well-known Indian media player and video streaming platform. It is one of the best media players in India and on the road to one of the best video streaming and video-on-demand platform.

As the name suggests MX TakaTak, it’s unabashedly a TikTok clone. From the name itself to the color scheme in its logo and from the actual UI to how it’s marketing itself, everything screams TikTok. Well, but there is no warm in that I think, cloning has become a trend in India, I guess. A couple of days also, we have seen JioMeet, the Zoom clone by Reliance Jio.

Currently, the app is available only in Google Play Store, but we can soon expect the app in Apple App Store too. As MX Media & Entertainment is big company, they will not compromise with Android users only, I am sure, in a couple of days or a week we will see the app in Apple App Store too.
