December 10 would mark the sale of Nokia Smart TVs in India on Flipkart. Starting at Rs. 41,999/- it is powered by ‘sound by JBL’. The first Nokia TV would be of 55-inch Ultra HD display with 24-watt built-in speakers, Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround.

Audio optimizations from JBL are also there which claims to deliver deep bass tones. Besides being claimed to have ‘superior’ audio compression, other key features of the TV are intelligent dimming, wide color gamut and Dolby vision.
It packs on a quad-core processor and 2.25GB RAM with 16GB ROM, running on Android 9.0 it supports apps via Google’s Android TV Play Store. MEMC technology aids a better visual experience.
Flipkart goes strong on this launch as they offer a bundle of complete protection scheme with the TV at Rs. 999/-. This protection lasts for a period of three years and it can be claimed against manufacturing defects and accidental damages.
Technology is going at lightspeed, devices are becoming outdated if not obsolete within a year after their launch, and so Flipkart covers a guaranteed buyback value at the end of three years os this scheme.
Smart TVs are certainly here to stay and grow, as it seemed like a passing fad earlier, the investment of conventional companies to get out into this barely established market signifies that Smart TVs may as well become the norm of our living rooms in the near future.
Nokia is a trusted and well-known brand, especially among those who are not knowing much of the brands in technology today, would certainly attract a lot of conventional buyers who may have previously thought Smart TVs are an unnecessary luxury.
