Redmi launched its Redmi Note 12 series back in January this year, which included the Note 12 & Note 12 Pro / Pro Plus. Now the Note 12 series is getting a new member.
Yes, that’s right! Well, it’s Redmi Note 12 4G variant. Alongside, the Note 12 4G, the company has launched a budget-friendly device that is the Redmi 12C.

The Redmi Note 12 4G design language is similar to its other siblings in the Note 12 family! So let’s just quickly run through it!
Big display at the front and minimal bezels all around. However, the chin at the bottom is pretty thick. Also, there’s a centered punch-hole camera
At the back, There’s a rectangular camera island that houses triple rear cameras with a LED flash inside it as well. The Redmi branding is in line with the cameras. The back of Note 12 4G is made of polycarbonate.
As for the Specifications – The Note 12 4G has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate & FullHD+ resolution. The device has a 240Hz touch sampling rate & 1200 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset and comes with 6GB & 64/128GB storage options, which can be expanded via a MicroSD Card slot up to 1TB.
The phone features three color options – Lunar Black, Frosted Ice Blue, and Sunrise Gold. Runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 13.
As for the cameras, there’s a triple rear camera setup at the back, which includes a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 120 degrees field of view, and a 2MP Macro lens, (Just a filler). There’s a 13MP front camera as well.
The Redmi Note 12 comes with a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast-wired charging. The device has a 3.5mm jack (which is now a rarity) and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

Now on to the Redmi 12C,
The budget phone gets a different design language out of all the Redmi Notes. Big display at the front with a waterdrop notch and minimal bezels all around with a big chin at the bottom. (as you’d expect in a budget device) The waterdrop notch houses a front camera as well.
As for the back, the device has a dual rear camera module with a LED Flash inside it as well. The Redmi branding is just next to the camera module, with the fingerprint scanner just below it (inside the camera island).
Now on the Specifications – The Redmi 12C features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution & standard 60Hz refresh rate, offering 500 nits of peak brightness.
As for power – the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor and comes in 4/6GB RAM with 64/128GB storage, and runs on Miui based on Android 12. The phone comes in four color options – Graphite Black, Ocean Blue, Lavender Purple, and Mint Green.
Onto the optics, Redmi 12C features a dual rear camera setup at the back, including a 50MP main sensor and OVGA lens. For the front, there’s a 5MP front camera for selfies.
The Redmi 12C comes with a 5000mAh battery and 10W wired charging. The device weighs around 192 grams & measures 168.76 x 76.41 x 8.7mm.
