The company also unveiled the next iteration of its Smartwatch & Tablets, i.e., The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series & Galaxy Tab S9 series, at the event.

In this article, we’ll take a look at the Design & Specifications of the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 flagship device from the South Korean Giant!

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Design

The All-new Galaxy Z Flip5 has an identical design language as its predecessor. However, there are two major changes that differentiate it from the Z Flip4, i.e., the Flex Hinge & Flex Window.

Well, the company has finally fixed two of the major drawbacks of the Z Flip devices, i.e., the large gap that was there when it was closed and the small cover display on the front.

The cover display still retains its weird shape and is not corner-to-corner like the one we saw on the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.

The all-new Flex hinge features a dual rail form that helps in dissipating external force such as fumbles & drops. With the Flex Hinge design, there’s no gap left when it closes, which in turn has made the device thinner than its predecessor.

The rest of the Z Flip5 is unchanged, with a large inside display when opened with minimal bezels & a front-facing camera.

The Power button & volume rockers are on the right, Type-C port & Speaker grill at the bottom. As for the Back, there’s a dual rear camera with LED flash & the Samsung branding on the Hinge.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 features a large cover display which Samsung calls Flex Window. The large cover display is a 3.4-inch AMOLED display, bigger than the Z Flip 4, which had a 1.9-inch cover display.

The cover display has a 720 x 748-pixel resolution & 60Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

As the Flex Window is bigger, users can engage with Widgets, such as checking stocks, weather, clock & more. The user can reply to messages on a Full Querty keyboard. Also, users can now access Samsung Wallets to access payment services & more.
