Oppo announced the launch of ColorOS7 in China. At the event, everything from features to rollout timelines was mentioned. Oppo isn’t always revered for its UI, but this new Operating System is not only offering better performance with optimization but also customization to a new extent.

Backed with a more sober color system and new sound effects, it also offers the option to customize app icons, size, shape, and font. Altogether ColorOS7 is offering a visual treat, wherein the much popular dark mode, which is now being released for various platforms. ColorOS7 will be having an option to have a system-wide dark mode.

Adding to the wonder of live Wallpapers, animations based on fingertip touch will be there. Oppo is known for its cameras, having brilliant camera hardware in budget phones is kind of their thing. The new operating system will also improve the software-end of the Camera.

Beauty 2.0, video blur, Night View, and multi-frame noise reduction are some of the new features that are going to be rolled out. Enhancing pictures is not the sole goal though, ColorOS7 will be offering a video editing app, Soloop, and a new voice assistant, Breeno.

And the prime reason what updates are for, better performance, is certainly on the table and how. It claims to be providing optimized power-saving which would increase the battery life by 10 % during daily use. Battery saving is dealt with the utmost importance as the night standby consumption and reduces power usage by 35 %.

As far as power is concerned, the new update will bring a 25 % increase in startup time, a 40 % improvement in RAM optimization as well. Hyper boost mode for better gaming experience will also be provided.

Oppo says that ColorOS 7 rollout will begin on November 25, and the OS will first be released to Oppo Reno. And Realme phones get a slightly tweaked version of ColorOS 7  will be rolled out by February 2020 in Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition.
