Facebook Announces Screen Sharing on Messenger- One of the Most favored and prominent social networking site Facebook always make some changes to increase the user experience and enhance the usability and reliability of the app. This time our beloved social media site Facebook announces screen sharing on Messenger. This feature is going to increase the usability of the Messenger app.
On Thursday, Facebook announces that they are launching screen sharing on Messenger for both Android and iOS. Facebook said this will be a “fun and engaging way” to connect with friends and family. Apart from screen-sharing in mobile (Android and iOS), the feature will be available in Messenger rooms with up to 16 people on web and desktop, and soon Facebook will increase it to a maximum of 50 people within a Messenger room.

With this feature, Facebook is going to compete with other video-conferencing applications like Zoom, Skype, Google Hangout, etc. This year Facebook introduced so many fascinating features, which are competing with so many other applications- like Facebook launches its own Avatar feature that is competing with Snapchat’s Bitmoji, and after some time Facebook launches its ‘Collab’ which is said to be the rival of most famous short video making app TikTok and so many other admiring features.
Well, this is not new news that Facebook is competing and launching rival features to the video-conferencing apps. With the upsurge demand of video-calling/conferencing in the month of March and April due to coronavirus outbreak. Facebook announces that they are going to launch the Messenger Rooms feature in which 50 people can enjoy videoconferencing together.
How to Enable it on Android and iOS
It’s very easy to use the feature and share screen on messenger while video calling/conferencing. So to do so, follow the following steps:
- Open Facebook Messenger App, on Your device.
- If you don’t have a Messenger app, then install it from here.
- Login with your Facebook account.
- After successful installation and login.
- Make a video call.
- Slide the black screen from bottom to up.
- Now, Tap on Share your Screen.
- Now, allow the required permission.
- That’s it, your screen will be appearing to others too.
- You can stop the screen sharing anytime, just by tapping on Stop Sharing.
