Xiaomi Mi Mix series was first announced back then in 2016 which later proved as a revolutionary move by Xiaomi in smartphone market. Since then it didn’t degrade that quality of smartphone.
3rd Gen Mi Mix was one of the best smartphone among their competitors and later then succeeded by 2019’s Mi Mix 3 5G variant.
This first started from a tweet of the Editor-in-Chief of XDA-Developers leaked some the specs regarding the next-gen Mi Mix aka the Mi Mix 4.
He mentioned back then that the next-gen Mi Mix will pack with the latest flagship processor from Qualcomm i.e., Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 along with in-display fingerprint sensor, wireless charging and 3 rear camera setup.
Now recently a great contribution from an XDA member and xiaomi.eu contributor Kacper Skrzypek (aka kacskrz) discovered few lines of codes in the MIUI’s stock camera that actually hints us about the company’s work with an upcoming 64MP camera phone.

Also in one of our recent post about Realme working a 64MP phone which will be using Samsung’s new 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 image sensor.
So we can conclude that Mi Mix 4 will be the 2nd to use that sensor or might be some better than if possible.
But there is one more chance that most flagships use Sony’s sensors, it’d be fair to assume that the Mi Mix 4 will feature the same.
Recently, in reply to a Weibo post, Wang Teng Thomas, Product Director at Xiaomi, confirmed that Mi MIX 4 will have a camera that should be “better than” the 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor.
