As in our previous articles, we have covered about rumors and leaks of Motorola Razr. And finally, Motorola unveiled its legendary phone which is launched by Motorola on 13 November at an event in Los Angeles.
Motorola Razr is the most awaited foldable phone which revokes the memories of an old Razr phone. Motorola Razr was launched at a very decent price, i.e. $1500 which is not a big amount for a foldable phone but it is quite expensive if we say about the hardware specifications of the phone.
Motorola Razr’s Specifications
The most amazing and best thing about the phone is it has two screens, one screen is inside the phone and the other one is the outside screen, or we can say that inside screen is that screen which shows when the phone is unfolded and outside screen is that when the phone is folded.
The main internal unfolded screen has an aspect ratio of 21:9, it is 6.2-inch pOLED display with 2142 x 876 pixels density.
The external folded screen has an aspect ratio of 4:3, it is 2.7-inch gOLED display with 800 x 600 pixels density
Motorola Razr has two-camera setup,
The main camera hardware consists of 16.2MP with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22um, EIS, Dual Pixel autofocus (AF), Laser AF, Color Correlated Temperature (CCT), dual-LED flash. With MPEG4, H.263, H.264, H.265, VP8, VP9 video capturing capacity.
The Front Camera hardware consist: 5MP with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um, screen flash.
Razr has no ultra-wide lens or zoom lens.
It is a bit disappointed in the SoC section of the phone as Motorola Razr has equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz instead Motorola could have provided a flagship SoC like Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 instead of the mid-range SoC. The phone operates on Android 9 Pie, even not on the latest operating system. This phone is paired up with 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage which cannot be extended.
Motorola Razr is supported by 2510 mAh of non-removable battery with 15W turbo power charging which is too less than a normal mid-range phone. The phone has a fingerprint scanner at the bottom chin, Accelerometer, Magnetometer (compass), Gyro, Proximity, Ambient Light, GPS, Ultrasonics sensor in it.
Motorola provided a USB-C slot in the bottom of the phone, this phone consists no sim slot as it will operate on e-sim, the phone has no headphone jack and no expandable storage slot. Motorola Razr also not support wireless charging.
Motorola Razr became quite small when folded and it can easily fit into the pockets, you can view notifications on the small screen while the phone is folded, and the main screen will be protected from scratches in folded mode when opened phone obtain a size of 6.2 inch which is equivalent to the length of most of the smartphones.
Conclusion
Overall, the phone is quite cool with design and gives you a premium feel but when it comes to the specs it is not more than any mid-range phone, the only special thing about the Motorola Razr is it has two screens and it is a foldable phone.
