Xiaomi has been doing this rebranding the phones and launching them with a different game for a while now. The Redmi K30 was rebranded to Poco X2 for the Indian smartphone market. Now it seems that the upcoming Poco F2(Pro) may very well be the rebranded Redmi K30 Pro.
The talks of Redmi K30 Pro rebranded as Poco F2(Pro) have been around the corner lately. But now it is almost confirmed as the new updated list of supported devices on Google Play is out.
Poco F2 Pro is Likely to be Rebranded Redmi K30 Pro
It clearly suggest that the K30 Pro ad Poco F2(Pro) are actually the same devices as they fall under exact same codename, “Imi” on the list.
The listing is first spotted by XDA-Developers, so now if this turns out to be true then it will be very contradictory of what Poco General Manager, C Manmohan said, regarding the second-generation Poco flagship smartphone.
It is reported that Poco General Manager, C Manmohan, held a Zoom meeting involving fans and journalists last month. He clearly said in the meeting that Poco F2 will not be a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro. He also mentioned that it will be priced at above Rs 20,000.
An important thing to note is that this is not the first time we are hearing of this Poco F2(Pro) to be a rebranded version of Redmi K30 Pro in India.
The first incident that gave air to these talks was when an APK teardown of MIUI camera showed references to “imiin”, which is believed to be the Indian version of Redmi K30 Pro.
It is also said that the “imiin” will display the watermark, ‘Shot on Poco Phone’. This confirms the talks that the Redmi K30 Pro will be sold under the Poco brand in India and the device is likely to be called Poco F2 or Poco F2 Pro.
