The score from the Qualcomm’s next system-on-chip with codename KONA seems promising. And as per a leaked benchmark, the multi-core test shows that it outperforms the competition by a great margin as it scored 12,915 points.

If we compare the geekbench scores of market’s latest flagship with snapdragon 865 geekbench scores i.e., OnePlus 7 Pro which manages a single-core score of 3,423 and 10,712 on the multi-core test and Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 with a single-core score of 3,429 and 10,764 on the multi-core test is way less than the alleged Snapdragon 865.

The alleged SD865 is tested on a testing platform rather than an actual smartphone which has 6 GBs of RAM and Android. The geekbench scores show a base frequency of 1.8 GHz which can go up to 3 GHz which is slightly better than Snapdragon 855 Plus which can go up to 2.96 GHz.

As this is the first test for Qualcomm’s next SoC and we know that the San Diego chip company usually releases its flagship SoC in December, so we expect more improvements with the score but the thing is that will it be able to outperform the score of Apple’s A12 Bionic and Samsung’s Exynos which have a massive score of 4700 and 4500 on single-core test?
