Xiaomi launched its MI TV series in India just a couple of years ago in India. And observed a very nice response from the Indian consumers. MI TV 4 (Rs 39,999) was also and to date one of the most affordable when it comes to HD Smart TVs. With MI TV 4 Xiaomi also released its custom skin for Xiaomi’s smart TVs, called the PatchWall UI.
PatchWall 3.0 Update and Addition of Disney+ Hotstar
Previous year Xiaomi released PatchWall 2.0 and now it has released PatchWall 3.0 for Mi TVs in India. Xiaomi confirmed it from its MI TV twitter handle. The tweet clearly shows that upon updating to PatchWall 3.0 users will be able to get access to Disney+ Hotstar content.
Mi TVs run on Google’s Android TV platfrom and much like for its smartphones(Mi UI for smartphones), Xiaomi’s PatchWall is their custom smart TV skin. PatchWall 3.0 will be available as an OTA update for selected TV models.
There are many improvements in the latest PatchWall 3.0. some of the new features include new enhancements for the UI, a new font called Mi Lanting Pro, cleaner animations, horizontal scrolling and more. Xiaomi also partnered with two content partners, Docubay is one of them. Also, PatchWall 3.0 comes with a sports channel powered by Hotstar.
Xiaomi’s Mi TV Product Head, Saudeep Sahu, also took his twitter and added,” PatchWall 3.0 brings all your favorite Disney Plus Hotstar content right on your home page and across all categories on Mi TV. Click on the home page banner to check out the best of Disney Universe. I’m proud of the team who have worked hard to get this updated on Mi TV.”.
Users will be able to access Disney Content through “The Disney Universe” hub. There will also be some animated movies in the kids’ section which can be found in the “Recently Added” section after the update.
Users will be receiving the update gradually for all the eligible models and if you are one of the users, you will be receiving the update soon.
