RuneScape: Dragonwilds, a brand-new open-world survival crafting game of the legendary RuneScape franchise, has launched on PC via Steam Early Access, taking a bold new step for Jagex and its iconic series.
It is developed on Unreal Engine 5; the title encourages both those familiar and less acquainted with the RuneScape universe to venture to a darker, wild portion of its world—filled with dragons, deep lore, and co-op gameplay.
RuneScape Dragonwilds: A New Chapter in the RuneScape Saga
Set in the long-forgotten continent of Ashenfall, Dragonwilds takes a different approach to the already familiar MMORPG formula.
The land is filled with magic, danger, and mystery as dragons awaken once more and threaten the very existence of everyone.
Players need to mine resources, craft tools, create shelters, and upgrade skills to have a mustered chance at the all-increasing threat, including the Dragon Queen, who is quite nasty.
This is a departure from the old-style point-and-click gameplay of RuneScape: Dragonwilds, instead featuring a fast-paced, third-person survival format.
Players can join in groups of up to four or go it alone. As they navigate through a curated, Anima-infested landscape, they’ll discover remnants of ancient civilizations and wield arcane powers to manipulate their surroundings.
