By Making Sure Outlook Isn’t Working in The Background

For a lot of users, this error generally occurs when they are trying to copy the PST file and MS Outlook or any other app associated with is still running in the background.

Make sure that Outlook isn’t running in the background. To do that you have to open the Task Manager and go to the Processes tab.

In the Processes tab, look for Outlook, if it is running, you can stop it by right-clicking on it and then clicking on the ‘End task’ button.

A lot of users have also seen the error getting fixed when they close the Skype app from the background as well so you might as well try that too.

By Uninstalling MS Office Communicator

Step 1: Go to the Windows Search bar, type “Run” and hit enter.

Step 3: From the uninstaller windows, search for MS Office Communicator.
