As we know that the US has unlifted the ban from Huawei for trading which actually is green for Google and Huawei for Android license again but Huawei seems not to be interested in Android anymore.
In a recent interview of Huawei’s CEO and founder, Ren Zhengfei with a French magazine, he stated that their OS will be much faster than Android and macOS with a huge application base.
“The operating system we are developing is compatible with printed circuit boards, switches, routers, smartphones, data centers, and so on,” Mr. Ren said.
The report says that Hengmong OS will commercially be known as Ark OS and will be launch with Huawei Mate 30 or P40 series. The company is also closely working OEMs like Oppo and Vivo on the new mobile operating system.
In terms of speed, Ren claims that the OS is about 60% faster than its main competitor Android. And a similar statement for macOS too that basically confirms that the OS will be used in desktops and laptops. He also mentioned that HongMeng OS has a processing delay of fewer than five milliseconds.
