Here are the steps that will help you bypass the “Transfer quota exceeded” error in Mega.

First, download the latest Java version for Windows from here and install it on your PC.
After that, download MegaBasterd – Mega Downloader from Github. The program is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux.

You can download the executable file according to your operating system. (I have downloaded the Windows Portable Zip file while testing it on Windows).

After downloading the zip file, extract it using WinRar or 7Zip.
Now, open the extracted folder, right-click the “MegaBasterd” batch file, and click on Run as an administrator. (Make sure you have Java installed; otherwise, the application will not run.)

It may ask you to create an API key; click NO. (You may violate MEGA terms of use without an API key.)
In the file menu, click on the edit and then settings. You can change the download location by clicking change it.

Now scroll down to find “Use SmartProxy” and enable it.
To bypass the daily download limit for Mega, you must enter your proxy details. Otherwise, you will not be able to download files larger than 5GB.
To get proxy details, go to any free proxy list site. Type “US Proxy List” into Google and open the first result. Copy the proxy details from the site and paste them inside the SmartProxy section.
